Shipping, returns and refunds

Important information about receiving your package

Our boxes are sealed with an exclusive, non-replicable white/pink tape . Before accepting delivery, we invite you to always check the integrity of the package:

  • If the box is missing our original tape, or has a different tape overlapping it, immediately refuse delivery and ask the courier to return the package to the sender with the written reservation "collection with reservation due to tampered/non-compliant package" .
  • If the box appears damaged, crushed, or tampered with in any way, refuse delivery , report it to the courier, and contact us immediately.
  • If the package is accepted without reservation in abnormal conditions, we will not be able to guarantee a refund.
  • If you open the box and it appears empty, you must immediately file a complaint with the courier . Theft of contents during transport is a criminal offense for the courier. We will provide you with all the necessary assistance; video proof of packaging (with timestamp and order ID) certifies the insertion of the products in the box and can only be presented in an official capacity upon request of the competent authority. All order preparation phases are video-monitored.

Damaged items

If your product is damaged, please report it promptly (within 10 days of delivery) to facilitate the handling of the matter with the courier. Your legal warranty rights for defects ( 2 years pursuant to Article 132 of the Consumer Code) remain intact in any case.

To start the complaint you need:

  • Photo of the outer box (all sides)
  • Video of the damaged product
  • Recipient's identity document
  • Signed declaration certifying that the product arrived damaged

Upon sufficient documentation, we will send a prepaid return label for your product.

Loss during transport

  • If we do not receive a confirmed receipt, we will initiate an investigation which may take up to 30 days .
  • A refund cannot be guaranteed until the investigation is complete.
  • If the courier officially confirms the loss of the package, we will provide a full refund .

Package blocked during transport

  • If your shipment doesn't update for more than 3 days , contact us: we will intervene to unblock it.
  • If there are no movements for more than 14 calendar days , we will refund without further checks, except in cases of force majeure or documented customs delays .

Originality and authenticity of the products

IdeaProfumi.it sells exclusively original and authentic products . We source our products through two types of channels, both legitimate and traceable : brand-authorized distributors and professional operators in the sector (independent distributors, EU stockists, legitimate parallel importers) selected through documented due diligence procedures.

Each product is inspected upon entry into the warehouse. All packing steps are carried out under video surveillance; the packing video (with timestamp and order ID) certifies the insertion of the products into the box and can only be presented at an official location upon request by the competent authority.

We evaluate each report individually, but in almost all cases the complaint is rejected—because we simply don't sell counterfeit products. We have purchase invoices, delivery notes, and complete supply chain documentation for each item, which is retained and can only be presented in official documents .

Anyone who believes in good faith that they have received a non-original product is formally requested to file a complaint with the competent authorities (Financial Police, Postal Police, Carabinieri). We will provide the authorities with all supply chain documentation to officially demonstrate the authenticity of each item shipped.

We will not accept returns or refunds based on mere allegations of non-authenticity without objective evidence. Unfounded complaints will be reported to the competent authorities as attempted fraud (Article 640 of the Italian Criminal Code). We reserve all civil and criminal proceedings. Anyone who publicly defames IdeaProfumi.it by attributing the sale of counterfeit goods to us—without verifiable basis—exposes themselves to civil and criminal liability (Article 595 et seq. of the Italian Criminal Code; damages pursuant to Article 2043 of the Italian Civil Code).

Right of withdrawal and return of opened products

The right of withdrawal for purchases made on ideaprofumi.it is governed by Articles 52, 53, 54, 56, 57, and 59 of the Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005) .

The consumer has the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of delivery , except for exceptions expressly provided for by law.

The right of withdrawal is excluded for sealed products that are not suitable for return due to hygiene or health protection reasons, if the packaging has been opened after delivery (Article 59, paragraph 1, letter e of the Consumer Code). This applies to:

  • Perfumes and fragrances
  • Cosmetics and make-up
  • Face and body creams
  • Sun products
  • Hair products
  • Any beauty product that, once opened, cannot be put back on the market for health and hygiene reasons

The package is considered opened when the protective film or sealing cap is removed. Returns of products with the film or sealing cap removed are not accepted.

In the case of issuing vouchers or credit notes, they are valid for 1 year from the date of issue.

Ordinary returns

We accept returns within 14 days of receipt, provided that:

  • The product is in like-new condition
  • The original packaging is intact, sealed and with the film intact
  • The product has not been opened, used or tampered with

Returns of products without the film, with the cap removed, or with opened or tampered packaging are automatically rejected.

Unclaimed packages returned to the warehouse will be refunded within 14 days of receipt. The original shipping cost will not be refunded, and the handling fee for the payment method used will be deducted.

The cost of collection by courier organized by IdeaProfumi.it is €10.00 , deducted from the refunded amount.

Details of payment fees withheld in case of refund:

  • Klarna: − 5% + €0.35
  • Scalapay: -5%
  • PayPal: − 3% + €0.35
  • Credit / prepaid card: − 3%

Refunds include the full amount paid by the customer. The original shipping cost will not be refunded, and the transaction fees for the payment method used will be deducted (see table above).
